When I do get a day off, it can sometimes be an act of Congress to get me to put on makeup and brush my hair. I love to get dressed up and style new outfits, but I also love to hang out at home with Shea and our puppies binge watching Bravo and eating Chick-Fil-A. That typically happens if I only get a half-day off on a given week. I started this year out with multiple days off, and I had the opportunity to put together some casual outfits that a.) I did not have to wear to work and b.) weren’t purple and gold. Enter my new Dressed Down Dress Code.
My sister-in-law gave me this shimmer pink top from Anthropologie for my birthday, and I knew it would become a weekend staple. It’s also a bonus that I have already worn it to work with some olive pants and booties. Anthro is one of my all-time favorite places to shop, because it is a one-stop shop for your wardrobe, home accessories, gift ideas and everything else in life. My mission is to make my house smell exactly like the store, and I think we have almost figured it out.
When you are dressing down, the obvious pant to wear is jeans. This ripped pair is one of my favorite spring purchases, and they have been on wardrobe repeat (see here and here) since I bought them for our trip to LA. They fit like a glove and have minimal stretching, which is my biggest problem when looking for the right pair of jeans. Add some sneakers and shades, and you are ready to comfortably take on your weekend!
Besides the outfit, my hair in these pictures is on the second day of a blowout from drybar! If I was going to pay to get my hair done, you better believe I was going to knock out pictures and make that do last for a few days. No shame in that hair game right there. I even received compliments on Monday at work when I got the blowout on Saturday. I think I am about to form an expensive habit.
I will most likely not look as stylish this weekend. We have a huge recruiting event all day on Saturday, and then I will have to work some the next morning. Shea is going out of town for work on Sunday, so that means I will be parked on my couch getting caught up on all of the important things that happened on TV…and puppies will be involved!
