It’s hard to believe that I just finished my sixth season with the LSU Football team. Each year brings new memories, friends, coaches, stadium visits, and so many experiences that I want to remember forever. We welcomed home the 2007 National Championship team (and Coach Miles!), completed our first full season under Coach O and celebrated the Comeback game versus SEC West rival Auburn. It’s hard to put every fun memory about the football season into one post, but I am going to try! Here is a full recap of my experiences and stories from the 2017 LSU football season.
SIDELINE STYLE
In my opinion, there’s no better place to start this post than with a review of this year’s sideline style. Here are all 13 of my gameday outfits that I wore during the 2017 football season. I have so much fun putting my gameday outfits together each Saturday and will re-wear these items for future LSU events throughout this year and beyond. You can get the full details of each outfit plus links to specific items through each of the monthly sideline style posts linked below.

GAMEDAY POSTS
I wrote a handful of blog posts over this past season sharing a little peek into what it’s like working for one of the best (the best in my opinion!) football teams in college football. From packing for an away game to sideline style and everything in between, I covered many posts relating to Life in Football, Style and Gameday.

FUN MOMENTS
The football season is always unpredictable. You would think that you can at least count on playing 12 scheduled games. However, at LSU, even that isn’t guaranteed. We only played 11 regular season games in 2015 and 2016 due to inclement weather. Since nothing in football is guaranteed, here are a few of the fun moments that randomly popped up this past season.
INTERVIEWING ALEX BREGMAN: If you follow me on Instagram and/or Twitter, then you know I am a fan of the Houston Astros and had so much fun watching them win the World Series. After seeing my hometown in despair after Hurricane Harvey, there was no better time for the Stros to bring home their first title. One of our former baseball players, Alex Bregman, is on the Astros’ roster and played a HUGE role in their World Series win. I was able to interview him on the sidelines before the LSU vs Auburn game. I get to interview lots of professional athletes since LSU has so many spread out among the professional leagues, but I was more excited than normal to interview Bregman!
You can watch the full interview here!

LSU SNEAUX DAY: Another totally unexpected event to happen during this past season was our LSU sneaux day! Who would have thought we would have INCHES of snow fall in Baton Rouge one Friday in between the regular season and the bowl game?! The city and the campus looked absolutely beautiful blanketed in white snow. I don’t know when we will ever see that in Louisiana again, so I took full advantage of taking pictures and hanging with Shea and our puppies in the snow.
TIGER RAG FEATURE: While this wasn’t necessarily part of the 2017 football season, it was part of 2017 and too cool not to include in this post. Tiger Rag is a local sports magazine in Baton Rouge, and they featured all of the ladies in our football office this past spring. Even though I have known most of these ladies since I was a teenager, it was neat to see all of our different paths to working in the same building. It was also nice of Tiger Rag to feature women who work in football, since some people still don’t believe us when we tell them that!

TRAVELING WITH THE LADIES
One of my LSU Football bucket list items is to watch the Tigers play in every SEC stadium, and I was able to check two off of my list this year – The Swamp at the University of Florida and Neyland Stadium at the University of Tennessee. I can’t thank Coach O enough for the opportunity to travel with the team. It was my second full year traveling with the Tigers and my favorite travel buddies – Sharon and Tam.
I have worked with these ladies since I was 19 years old. I don’t think many people get to experience long-term work relationships as much as we do at LSU, and I am thankful for them every day. We have the funniest stories and memories from each place we go and are constantly laughing at and with each other!
I wrote more about working with women in sports here!

LSU GameDay Live
We wrapped our fourth season of CST’s LSU GameDay Live this past season, and I love being a part of this team and the CST family. From interviewing Mike the Tiger’s personal tailors to going behind the scenes of the LSU Football program to embarrassing myself trying virtual reality on live television, it’s been a great year four! I’m happy to have this opportunity to continue working in television while not having to make it my full-time job…and only cover LSU!

SEASON NO. 7
Shea and I only took two pictures together this entire year – game one vs BYU in New Orleans and then one at the Citrus Bowl. We just wrapped up our seventh season together, and there is no one I would rather be on this crazy football ride with than Shea. There is no way I could do all of this without him. He is constantly helping me with work and running errands and everything else that needs to get done each week when I am working all seven days. He also understands that his wife won’t have a home-cooked meal every evening or clean the house when she gets home. This is a very important aspect of our relationship – understanding the demands of each of our jobs. Seven seasons down and forever to geaux! So cheesy…

All of my pictures from the 2017 LSU Football Season are in an album on my facebook page. I update this page throughout the season and off-season, so be sure to check it out for more LSU info. I know this was a super long post, but there is so much that happens during one football season. It took a lot of time to write and edit pictures, but it was fun to look back on everything that happened the last four months. A lot goes into working for a football team, so I want to continue sharing that in 2018! If you ever have any questions, please let me know.
I hope everyone’s 2018 is off to a fabulous start!!
