Y’all, it is officially football season and life is officially back to being crazy busy! Each week I will be focusing on something that will help you get gameday ready for this season. I have purple and gold gameday outfits, hair and makeup products that I take with me to the stadium each Saturday and some of my favorite brands that help me get through the football season. This week I am helping you get gameday ready for LSU’s, and many other college football stadiums’, new clear bag policy.
It’s time for Tiger fans to ‘Geaux Clear‘, but that doesn’t mean you have to take a Ziploc bag into the stadium. However, this is an approved option! NFL stadiums adopted this policy a few seasons ago, and now more designers are coming up with stylish ways to ‘Geaux Clear‘. Here are some of my favorite ways to embrace the new clear bag policy this football season.
1. The Astor clear crossbody bag by Savvyroot
This is my newest clear bag, and it is PER-FECT to complete your gameday look. It is stylish and can fit anything you might need on gameday. This bag comes with a matching black leather strap, but you can also add the chain strap to your order. The gold link chain is my favorite option, but I also like the two together. This bag will definitely be packed for our trip to Lambeau Field in Wisconsin this weekend!
WHY I LOVE IT: Not only is this bag approved for LSU gamedays, but I can also wear this bag outside of football season. It fits all of the clear bag requirements for stadiums AND can transition to an outfit outside of the stadium. If you are going to invest in a stylish clear bag you might as well be able to wear it post-football season.
2. Becky clear crossbody bag by Jon Hart Design
If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I am semi-obessed with this personalized crossbody bag by Jon Hart Design. I grew up in Texas and everyone int the Lone Star state has Jon Hart luggage. I have totes, purses, overnight bags, etc. from this brand, and they really do stand the test of time. I have had some of my Jon Hart items since high school (so for those of y’all counting, that’s over a decade).
I received this purse as a gift for Christmas last year and have used it regularly since then. It is perfect for me on the sidelines because it has just enough space for my roster, phone, keys, chapstick and other necessities.
WHY I LOVE IT: You can personalize this bag down to the color of the leather and name of your school. It’s not bulky and is also easily packable for away games. For fall camp I left this purse in my backpack so I could use it whenever I needed it.
3. LSU clear plastic totes
Ok, I know these are not the most stylish option to pair with your perfectly put together gameday look, BUT they definitely come in handy. I used an LSU clear bag this size when I went to NRG Stadium a few years back for the LSU vs Wisconsin game and could fit everything that both my husband and I needed that day in one bag. We left early in the morning and tailgated before the game and stayed out late that night, so I could pack all of our stuff that we needed for the entire day in a bag this size.
WHY I LOVE IT: In case it rains, you can easily stuff a raincoat in this bag. I put both my husband’s and my own raincoat in here when we were in Houston. This is perfect for any type of uncertain weather, so you can pack a light jacket, scarf or whatever you might need (hello, portable fan). In southeastern Louisiana, you never know what the weather could be on a given gameday.
Even though I seem to have my clear bag base covered, let me know if you find any other stylish options to ‘Geaux Clear‘! I am a firm believer in you can never have too much purple and gold or outfits and accessories for the season. Geaux Tigers!
