Ladies, it’s time to Geaux Clear for all of your upcoming college and NFL football games this season, and I am here to help. LSU introduced its Geaux Clear policy last year for Tiger Stadium and all other athletic venues on campus, and it’s that time of year again to pick out your clear bags. I shared with you last season some of my favorite clear bag options, but now it’s time for an updated version of the clear bag policy.
Here are some clear options from a few of my favorite brands to help you Geaux Clear for the 2017 football season plus I included where you can find stylish clear bags online and right here in Baton Rouge.
JON HART DESIGN
I wore my Jon Hart clear becky crossbody all last year, and they sent me an updated version now that they are officially licensed to use the LSU logo. I love wearing a crossbody on the sidelines and this one can fit all of your gameday essentials. One of the best parts of a crossbody is how you can be hands free, but you can also go hands free with a fanny pack. Yes, ladies, I have been sporting a fanny pack for a few seasons now, but I thank Jon Hart for updating my look with their clear bellaire bag. This option is much classier than what I was wearing.
I’ve said this before, but I’ve owned many of my Jon Hart pieces since high school. I was so excited when they wanted to send me some new clear bags for football season, because they are a brand I love and have been loyal to for over a decade. I also like how you can personalize your clear bag with your color preference for the leather and with your team logo and/or monogram, so it can work for any team or college. But, purple is the best!
You can find Jon Hart locally at The Keeping Room and shop online at their website here.
SAVVYROOT
This local brand rolled out their stylish Astor clear crossbody before last season, and it consistently sells out each time designer Celeste Austin restocks. Austin updated the original design this year offering a nude option in addition to the original black-trimmed bag. This bag isn’t team specific so you can easily transition it from gameday to any other day during the week. This was the first clear bag I received last year, and I am happy to see this GirlBoss capitalizing on the new clear trend.
You can find Savvyroot locally at the some of the shops below and shop online at their website here.
LSU TOTE BAGS
Ok, I know this might not be the ‘It bag’ of the season or anything, but it does get major points for practicality! The weather in South Louisiana is very unpredictable and this tote can carry all of your weather-related necessities – raincoat, scarf, hat, etc. Clearly a hat is nice to have, because have you seen my hair in these pictures? Real life, real weather, ladies.
If you are out tailgating all day long, it can be very beneficial to have a full tote of everything you might need throughout the day. You don’t have to downsize your regular purse as much with this tote, but don’t fill it to the brim where you are uncomfortable. Also, you won’t be uber upset if something gets spilled on it and you won’t worry about putting it on the ground at the stadium.
You can find clear totes locally at the LSU Bookstore and the LSU SportShop.
WHERE TO BUY CLEAR IN BATON ROUGE
Hey Penelope | 7317 Jefferson Highway
The Keeping Room | 3535 Perkins Road
NK Boutique | 2295 Hollydale Ave. + 7474 Corporate Blvd.
Love Boutique | 7474 Corporate Blvd.
LSU SportShop | N. Stadium Road (on campus)
LSU Barnes and Noble Bookstore | 2 Union Square (on campus)
Small clutches are also allowed in the stadium, but you don’t want to bring an unapproved bag and be turned around at the gate. If you have any questions about your bag or what you can and can’t bring into Tiger Stadium, you can read LSU’s full Geaux Clear policy here and can look up other stadiums’ policies on their websites. Most SEC stadiums have the same rule, so if you are planning to travel with the Tigers, I suggest you invest in a clear bag!
