Last week I celebrated my 29th birthday, and, thanks to my husband and Kendra Scott, I celebrated for like six days straight! I’ve collected a few Kendra Scott pieces in the last few years, but my husband really got my collection going with a few new items and I am totally in love with them all!

On my way to an official visit dinner a couple of weeks ago, I stopped in the Kendra Scott store on Perkins Rowe here in Baton Rouge to find some new jewels for Signing Day. Clearly, I was successful with that mission, and when I went to check out I dropped my name off in a raffle bowl. I didn’t even remember I had entered myself in a raffle until the store contacted me that I had won a Color Bar party! At first I wasn’t exactly sure what a Color Bar party entailed, but once I found out, I couldn’t wait to attend!
I got to pick a day and bring my girlfriends with me to shop the Color Bar and entire Kendra Scott store at a discount while we sipped champagne and snacked on sweet treats. Yes, this was real life, and it was the perfect way to celebrate my birthday!

If you haven’t checked out the Color Bar yet, I highly recommend it. You start by picking out any style you wish to customize – rings, necklaces, bracelets, then pick your metal – gold or silver, and then you add your stones in any color you want. I created a multicolored kellie necklace that will go with literally half of my wardrobe.
I knew that you could design your own pieces online through the Color Bar, but I had no idea that you could also do it in the store and your custom piece is ready within minutes! This will be perfect for football season and my work wardrobe, because I will be able to make custom purple and gold items all year long.
Thanks to all my girlfriends who shopped with me and the ladies at Kendra Scott in Perkins Rowe for helping me celebrate my birthday in the most fashionable way ever!
How much was the party in total?Did you have to buy a necklace for everyone ?
Hi Madeline!
I actually won the party from a drawing, which meant I received a free item from the ColorBar. However, one of the ladies I work with has set up a party at our local store here in Baton Rouge a couple of times where they pretty much do the exact same thing. Everyone gets to shop at a discount, but there was no obligation to buy anything. I suggest contacting your local store. It is such a good idea for a girls’ night out!
