This combination of J. Crew pieces is my favorite outfit of the summer! I have literally worn this exact look multiple times, and each piece has become one of my must-have summer favorites. I have these items on repeat wearing them all together and as accents to many other summer outfits.
Let me start this post out by saying, I think this is my favorite post yet! We had such a fun weekend in Memphis for our friends’ wedding, and we continue to talk about all of the fun we had. I’m keeping with the wedding theme this week on the blog by sharing an outfit that is sure to make you the best dressed wedding guest.
As I planned our wedding, one of my main goals was to be able to reuse outfits, accessories and other things that I bought specifically for the wedding once the weekend was over. I know a lot of people change into a different dress for their wedding reception, but I wanted to spend as much time as I could in my dress! I knew we would be going out after our wedding, so I changed into a short white dress from J. Crew as we left our reception venue.
One of my favorite ways to style is to mix and match prints together. I learned how to mix and match prints like a pro after working at J. Crew twice and shopping there for over a decade. Now, I want to show you how you can look like a pro too! (Hopefully you think I look like I can mix and match prints like a pro!) I have been accused of looking like a catalog at times, and I take this as a huge compliment!
Long story short, my husband I are saving up money to try and move into a new house next year. This means I need to get my butt in gear when it comes to a shopping budget. So, that is why I decided to start putting outfits together with items I already own instead of buying even more clothes. Well, clearly I will still be buying some clothes but now shopping smarter! First item up is my black maxi dress from Stitch Fix. Earlier on the blog I showed you three ways to style your black maxi dress, and here they all are in one post! (Direct product links in each specific post.)
I had a lot of fun putting these posts together, especially since it is my first big post! I hope it gives you some inspiration when it comes to putting together outfits from your own closet. Let me know what style you liked best and how you would style your favorite black maxi dress. I am always open to ideas from you stylish gals to get the most out of one of my favorite pieces!
There are only a few things I like more than a good deal, and this black maxi dress from Stitch Fix has definitely turned into a great deal! I hope y’all liked my other two outfits I styled with this black maxi dress (Style your Favorite Black Maxi for Everyday and Casual Summertime Black Maxi Dress) earlier this week. Today is my last look (for now), even though there are a million ways to wear this dress. This black maxi with rose gold accents is ready to go out on the town with you and your guy or a group of girlfriends!
