I remember when I was in junior high and high school everyone wore Abercrombie & Fitch…except me. Their jeans were like $90, which in the late 90’s and early 2000’s was way too expensive, and I am the last of five kids so my parents were not spending that. And, my mom hated the catalog (anyone else’s mom out there feel the same way?!). I was still rocking my size 14 youth jeans from Limited Too and wishing I had one of those t-shirts with the moose on it. Well, now that I am an adult and can do whatever I want, I shop at Abercrombie!
Until I saw Krystal from A Pinch of Lovely styling some of their clothes recently, I had no idea that Abercrombie was still open much less had super cute new styles. I found this cable knit sweater on sale during the holidays, and it has become a go-to in my closet because it is literally the perfect sweater.
I enjoy buying and wearing winter clothes, but sometimes that not is the smartest investment for someone who lives down south, especially in Louisiana. It can be freezing in the morning, but by the time you get to lunch you need to shed all of your layers. But, I have finally found a sweater that was made for us who live down here and struggle daily with the weather. This cable knit sweater from Abercrombie is light enough to wear you aren’t sweating all day and doesn’t have a hint of itchiness.
It’s no secret that I have become obsessed with this camo jacket that is also from Abercrombie. I am a fan of camo because it goes with more outfits than you probably think. This is another lighter outerwear option that is suitable for the South Louisiana climate. I have never hunted, and never plan on it, so I wear camouflage a little differently than most people who live down here.
J. Crew is clearly one of my tried and true favorite brands of all time, and they came out with this line of signet bags that you can personalize with monograms, tassels and key fobs. I kind of wanted one in each color, so instead of buying six I settled on this multi-colored croc embossed one. I love, love, love it! I can see it pairing with multiple outfits, and it is large enough to fit your essentials when you downsize your purse. I still want to design a personalized one with my initials and fuzzy pompom!
These TOMS Lunata booties are one of my favorite shoe purchases from last year. I have worn them for entire gamedays and many full work days, and they are so comfortable on my feet. They are on sale right now in all four colors and I highly recommend that you look into them! I am not buying any clothes, shoes or accessories this month (trying out this budgeting thing), but if the tan pair are still on sale in February, I might have to add them to my cart!
If I wanted to I could wear shorts outside right now, but I am anticipating at least one more cold snap before we head into spring. It will be one last chance to wear all my cute winter items before I stash them away until the end of the year. This jacket, however, will be worn year-round! I still can’t believe I styled an outfit based on items from Abercrombie & Fitch, and I think I will be doing it more in the future.
